What does it take to become a Licensed Real Estate Agent?

Work Habits:

It takes drive, discipline, consistency, focus and motivation. We have an Exclusive, Propriety Training Program that if you follow, you can be successful; it is not rocket science! If you treat your Real Estate Career like a personal investment, you will thrive with our Onboarding & Training Program.

Planning & Commitment:

The Class to become a Licensed Real Estate Agent requires 60 hours of your time, the cost ranges from $350-$400, and you must pass their test before you proceed to the next step. You can take the class on-line; one week, Monday through Friday, 8-5:30; or a Night Class of 10 classes, 2 nights a week, 4 hours each night. As soon as you pass the classroom test, you should contact PSI and schedule to take the Exam required by the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation. The PSI Examination costs $60 and we strongly recommend that while you are there, you get your finger prints completed $50. Once you have passed your Licensing Course Exam, PSI and had your fingerprints taken, you can contact Stepha- nie Wall, StephanieW@GoHTR.com, or phone 804.263.4317. I will get you on the right road to selecting an office, meeting with our Licensing Coordinator, completing your DPOR paperwork and your RAR paperwork. Also, I will sign you up for all of our training and events, give you some action items to do while you wait for DPOR to post your License.
